Welcome to 2026! As I do from time to time, I’m releasing my blog today to someone I respect and want to feature. His name is Marc Peridis.
I met Marc while we were both teaching classes during the COVID pandemic for Tantra 4 Gay Men/T4GM. Since then, we’ve kept in touch, and I’ve sought his guidance on numerous occasions. We spent seven unforgettable days in Spain together in 2024 with a dozen other practitioners like ourselves. I started my tantra work before Marc was born, which is a good lesson for seniors like myself.
At this stage of my life, mentors and sages are few and far between, but we can still learn so much from those who are younger. Marc wrote the blog below late last year, but only got his permission to republish it before the end of the year. Based on 2025 as a whole and the news of the day around the New Year, I felt Marc’s thoughts were especially applicable to us now.
Spoiler alert: He doesn’t try to push his work anymore than I do. Neither of us put ourselves out there as a guru or a guy with all the answers. I resonate with him and others like us who aren’t in this business to make a ton of money. We both travel throughout the globe, playing, teaching, and working, but our lifestyles are built on less about material wealth and more on the deep relationships we co-create with the people we work with. Information will be available at the bottom of the blog, should you wish to contact Marc or me. But for now, please enjoy…
Yep. We’re Zucked.
By Marc Peridis
Years ago, I switched off social media.
I’d just finished reading Zucked, a book that ripped the mask off Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and exposed the damage they’d caused. Fast-forward to two months ago: I opened an Instagram account for my film Unshamed, and one thing hit me immediately while scrolling.
Many of us — me included — follow healers, coaches, therapists… offering us tiny hits of clarity, micro-epiphanies, and aha moments. But I quickly remembered what I learned years ago:
The algorithm doesn’t care about our well-being.
It doesn’t care about our relationships. It doesn’t care about the success of our businesses.
It cares about one thing: Engagement. Views. Clicks. Likes. It’s “free” and it only works if we keep coming back. And Meta’s architects know what makes us engage more.
It’s NOT for us to feel grounded, whole, sovereign.
We engage more when we’re off-center — tired, emotional, overstimulated, or just being “human.”Meta’s model is not neutral. It selects for intensity to create drama.
The content that tends to blow up IS NOT the content that brings us back to ourselves. It IS NOT that which reminds us we are already whole. IT IS the voices speaking with sharp certainty — naming what’s wrong, what’s right, and how to fix it — because certainty catches attention. I’ve watched myself fall into it.
Late at night, exhausted, scrolling aimlessly. Somehow finding myself on feeds offering that quick-hit wisdom — the “answer I was seeking.”
I even saw a relationship coach with hundreds of thousands of followers drafting a text which he invited viewers to “copy, paste and send ” to their next “avoidant partner.”
What the actual fork?? Now — I’m not here to tell anyone to delete their socials. I know there’s value there, and some of us depend on them financially. I’m not even sure if I’ll stay or go.
And I’m definitely not saying I’m the boss-bitch you should listen to.
I do, however, want to share what I learned from 15 years of inner work.
The copy-paste hits of wisdom from coaches worked… until they didn’t — when they started feeling hollow, performative, out of sync with the parts of me that weren’t truly on board. These coaches didn’t know me like I should know myself.
What has always worked is turning inward.Radically.Relentlessly.Meeting every tight, messy, inconvenient layer inside me —
finding a deeper truth and letting THAT shape how I speak, act, love, and create.

It’s chaotic. It’s imperfect. And it’s unapologetically mine.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I offer courses which guide people to go inward. Of course, I would love you to join them. But the truth is — You don’t need these courses or me. I simply recommend an entry point into a deeper inner wisdom. Whether you keep scrolling or not.
Sending you lots of love,Marc
